Hello, nice to meet you.

I was born and raised in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. Since I was a young girl I always loved reading and listening to stories anywhere I could find them. Oral-storytelling is one of my hobbies and passions. I enjoy telling at live shows and coaching potential tellers. I produced and organized shows for the Arizona Storytellers Project for crowds between 400-600 people. Storytelling has become my work and my life.

Pursuing stories that bring awareness around systemic inequities is what motivates me to be in this career field. As the daughter of an immigrant I know from personal experience that not everyone has access to the same opportunities in life.  I've had the opportunity to cover international stories in regards to medical IVF tourism in Mexico and immigration issues in the Dominican Republic.

I have experience in producing through my Arizona PBS internship that I worked at for over a year. I helped produce live recorded shows and welcome on-air guests who ranged from state political leaders and local nonprofits.  I interned in Phoenix at AZFamily, a Gray Television station, and pitched original story ideas. I also helped write and produce content and conducted on camera interviews.

I completed three semesters at Cronkite News as a reporter and gained experience in covering big political events and conferences, many stories were day turns. I shot, edited and put together my own pieces. The hands on training I received has prepared me for a career in journalism.
